115 years Ortrander
Eisenhütte (1887 to 2001)
On the geographical location of the Ortrander Eisenhütte

Irrespective of whether you take the train, use the motorway (A13 Dresden – Berlin) or take one of the many good cross country highways to Ortrand in the far south of the federal state of Brandenburg, the route will always be posted by the mighty 32 m high sand tower, like an invigorating town high rise.

Way up in the air and for all to see in large black letters
"ORTRANDER" is announced.

The modernised industrial complex situated to the south west of the centre of town was erected in 2001/2002 and is immediately adjacent to the railway line from Dresden to Cottbus and borders on the free state of Saxony.
